"BALL was originally introduced as a pendant lamp and wall-mounted lamp with magnet, and the magnet lamp was particularly successful (Design by Benny Frandsen). In the 1970s, the lamp could be found in most Danish homes, and it has since moved into summer cottages, nurseries and any space where good lighting is needed. To this day, most Danes have a special relationship to the little round lamp."

Design by Benny Frandsen

It all began in 1968, when Benny Frandsen began designing lamps in his basement. That same year, he designed the Ball pendant lamps and magnetic wall lamps. These designs quickly became a success, and are still produced today as one of the best-selling series in the collection. Today, the Ball collection is a symbol of classic Danish design, which has remained relevant and cherished over the years, becoming a cult object of Scandinavian design found in most Danish homes.

Benny Frandsen has won numerous international design awards for his lighting designs over the years and is known for his graphic shapes and inspiring attitude, visible throughout his work, from the Ball lamps, to the Benjamin lamps and, most recently, the BF Quadro collection.
