A temperatura da cor refere-se à tonalidade caraterística ou ao aspeto da cor da luz emitida por uma fonte de luz. É medida em unidades de Kelvin (K) e é utilizada para descrever se uma fonte de luz emite cor numa escala que vai do quente ao frio. As temperaturas de cor mais baixas, de 2700K ou 3000K, são consideradas quentes e emitem uma luz amarelada ou avermelhada semelhante à cor de uma chama. As temperaturas de cor intermédias, entre 3500K e 4500K, são designadas por branco neutro e apresentam uma luz branca mais equilibrada. As temperaturas de cor mais elevadas, acima de 5000K, são consideradas frias e emitem uma luz azulada ou semelhante à luz do dia.
